Report: Mavericks announcer suspended two games by NBA for criticizing refs

Dallas Maverick PA announcer Sean Heath will be suspended for two games after he criticized the referees following a 122-120 loss to the Golden State Warriors on April 1 according to reports.

On April 2, the NBA released a statement which said the Warriors’ Jermaine O’Neal should have been called for goaltending on the play below …

So, Heath wasn’t entirely wrong — he just didn’t voice his displeasure appropriately.

According to an ESPN report, the suspension will start on Saturday and end either during the Mavs’ first home game of the playoffs or Dallas’ first home game of the next season.
